It never fails. After a few years of marriage (sometimes sooner), people start feeling really comfortable with their spouses. This is a good thing. However, even too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. How could something so right turn into something so wrong? It's simple. Over time married people become so comfortable with each other that they stop trying to be beautiful, they stop trying to be politically correct and they stop trying to hide any of their bad traits. If both people start behaving this way, things may be OK. The problem is that it rarely happens that way. In most cases, one spouse starts doing this and the other does not. This creates a situation where the person who has not changed may start to see the other differently. What are some of the things that spouses do that can turn their mates completely off?

• Dating Tip 1 - Consistently Breaking Wind or Passing Gas Around Your Spouse Most of us have gas at one point or another in our lives. It's a fact of life. When you get married, gas doesn't divorce us. We still may have gas. The thing is that you have to be considerate of the person you are with. You can go into another room or go to the bathroom. Gas doesn't smell good. It is a definite turn-off. Spare your mate the pleasure and keep this call of nature to yourself. It may inconvenience you if you are, for instance, watching TV, but, please consider the person you are with and how your gas affects them. There are also medical treatments that can help if this is really a problem for you.


• Dating Tip 2 - Not Washing Your Private Parts Everyday It's the weekend and you don't have anything to do. Getting up and taking a shower isn't on your agenda. You just want to lay around all day and watch TV and eat. This is fine, but, you need to wash yourself. Humans are extremely smelly creatures when we aren't clean. Going a day or two without washing your private areas can leave you smelling like hell on earth. That may be an extreme statement, but it is completely true. No one wants to smell that and it is surely a complete and total turn-off. Think about it like this. Would you want to have sex with someone that stinks? Most people don't want to. Do your husband or your wife a favor and wash your body EVERYDAY - even if you aren't going anywhere! 


• Dating Tip 3 - Wearing That Old Unattractive Robe Or Those Panties/Boxers With The Holes In Them People want to see their mates as attractive. Wearing unattractive robes and underwear is a turn off. You may think that it's oh so comfortable and it might be, but, you need to make sure that you are still being stylish for your mate.


• Dating Tip 4 - Not Doing Your Hair You may think that keeping your hair standing on end is cute, but, it really isn't. People want to still see their spouse as sexy and desirable. Seeing you with your hair standing on end a few times isn't a big deal, but when you start to do it all the time you start changing how your spouse looks at you. This happens even when your spouse doesn't want to start thinking about you differently. They can't help it. Do yourself a favor. Comb your hair everyday and make yourself look presentable.


• Dating Tip 5 - Not Brushing Your Teeth There is a reason that the breath industry is as big as it is. Mints, gum, liquids, spray, paste - there is something for everyone that will help them keep their teeth and breath clean and fresh. People hate to smell bad breath. Your husband or wife is no different. Don't think that they like your bad breath because they are married to you. It isn't true and having bad breath is a complete turn-off. Who wants to kiss someone with nasty, smelly, dirty, stinky breath? The answer is no one.


• Dating Tip 6 - Picking Your Toe Nails It is amazing how many people do this around other people. Although you may feel that your nails need to be clipped, picking your toe nails with your hands is just unattractive, unappealing and a turn-off. Can't you get a clipper and clip them instead of picking them with your hands? If you can, you should!


• Dating Tip 7 - Wiping Your Nose On Your Shirt Repeat after me - shirts are not tissue. One more time - shirts are not tissue. There is an industry with companies selling a variety of tissues. Tissues with lotion, tissues that are soft, tissues that are hard, tissues that are white and tissues that are colored - there are tissues all around just for your nose. Wiping your nose on your shirt is something we train children not to do. By the time you reach adulthood you should be over this. Watching a wife or a husband do this is unattractive and a turn-off.


• Dating Tip 8 - Defecating With The Door Open & Your Spouse Nearby A lot of people consider this to be a sign of trust. Many more people don't. You may think that you trust your mate so much that you want to be completely open, but your poop smells and sounds aren't something that should be shared with the world OR your spouse. Most of the time, seeing something like this and smelling something like that turns their mates completely off. Let's try only sharing our poop with the toilet and leaving our significant others out of it. Everyone will be happier this way.


• Dating Tip 9 - Leaving Your Dirty Underwear Laying Around There is no excuse for this one. Dirty underwear is not attractive, nor is it devoid of smells. After a few days, dirty underwear can add a rather unpleasant aroma to the room. Can you say complete turn-off? Instead of putting your dirty underwear some place where people can see and smell them, you may want to consider putting your underwear into a hamper. Don't chase your spouse away with dirty underwear. It's a turn-off.


• Dating Tip 10 - Dress Yourself Up Sometime If your spouse only sees you looking like a bum, you are slowly turning them off. I know that you want to be comfortable when you are home. However, it's important to remember that you are sharing your life with someone. They see people looking their best all day. I'm not suggesting that you dress up everyday for your spouse, but you should certainly remember that they want to see the most attractive parts of you sometime. Do you clean yourself up like a new penny when you are about to go out? Why? It's because you want people to see the best side of you. Don't you think your mate wants to see that too? You know they do. Don't leave your spouse trying to remember what you used to look like when you were dressed up. Doing that is a turn-off.

When we get married sometimes we forget that our spouses are human, we forget that they have needs and we forget that it is our responsibility to fulfill those needs. Doing a few simple things can help your spouse to remember how beautiful and fantastic you are and how appealing you are to them. Take some time and make a few changes to help keep those home fires burning.
